About the Role
Our Asset Management team is expanding — and we’re excited to welcome a new Repairs Advisor to help us deliver outstanding service to our customers!
This is more than just a job, it’s a chance to be at the heart of delivering exceptional customer service and making a real impact in people’s lives.
As a Repairs Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for repair enquiries, using your diagnostic skills to ensure issues are resolved swiftly and effectively. You’ll liaise with contractors, monitor progress, process invoices, and help ensure our homes are safe, comfortable, and well-maintained.
Working in a hybrid model from our Edinburgh or Glasgow offices, you’ll be part of a high-performing team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and putting customers first. If you’re passionate about service excellence and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this is the role for you!
In this role, you will:
• Be the first point of contact for repair enquiries via phone, email, and other channels.
• Use a diagnostic approach to assess repairs and ensure accurate prioritisation.
• Allocate and issue work orders to contractors, liaising with technical teams as needed.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely completion of works.
• Process invoices and recharges, ensuring accuracy and value for money.
• Manage inspections and repairs for vacant properties, including safety checks.
• Handle warranty-related defects and liaise with contractors for resolution.
• Maintain records of locks and keys, and manage supplier communications.
• Deliver excellent customer service, keeping customers informed throughout.
• Work within a performance-driven culture, contributing to KPIs and continuous improvement.
About You
Are you a natural communicator with a keen eye for detail and a genuine passion for helping others.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
• Have experience in a similar customer facing role, ideally within property or facilities management.
• Understand defects, repairs, warranty periods, and basic health & safety.
• Are confident using Microsoft Office and housing management systems.
• Possess strong listening and communication skills, especially over the phone.
• Build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and contractors.
• Are empathetic, confident, and capable of working both independently and in a team.
• Handle complaints professionally and support seamless customer service.
• Align with our values: Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, Inclusion.
• Are open to hybrid working, with some office presence required.
