The Role

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and communication or emotional difficulties


  • Assist class teachers in modifying lessons to suit individual learning styles


  • Support children in building key life skills such as communication, confidence, and independence


  • Contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere through behaviour management and inclusive strategies


  • Track student progress and collaborate closely with the SENCo and wider staff team to deliver personalised interventions


    Who We’re Looking For

    We’re seeking a motivated and compassionate graduate who:

    • Has (or is predicted) a 2:1 degree or above in Psychology, Education, or a related subject


    • Brings experience working with children or young people with SEN, whether in a school, care setting, or through volunteering


    • Is calm, patient, and empathetic, with strong communication and problem-solving skills


    • Is serious about building a long-term career in education, mental health, or child development
