About the Role
Due to an increased workload, a leading Main Contractor in Lancashire is seeking a versatile and driven Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role offers the chance to work across multiple projects simultaneously, rather than being tied to one client, making it a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied and fast-paced environment.
With projects typically valued at £500K+, you'll be responsible for all commercial duties, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, and will play a key role in supporting both live projects and tendering activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, delivering full commercial support across education, retail, and pub sectors.
• Prepare and manage tender submissions (desirable).
• Produce accurate and timely month-end CVRs and lifecycle forecasts.
• Handle client invoicing, subcontractor procurement, and payment processes.
• Identify and manage variations and change control.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Project Managers, Site Managers, and the Senior Leadership Team.
• Ensure all commercial activities align with contractual and company requirements.
Person Specification
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, with experience across multiple sectors.
• Ability to manage several live projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in client-facing situations.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organised.
