Summary
About the role
We’re hiring a reliable Labourer to support our aparthotel refurbishment in Barrow. You’ll keep work areas safe and tidy, move materials, assist trades, and help the site team hit programme targets.
Key responsibilities
• Site setup, protection, and daily housekeeping
• Loading, unloading and distributing materials to work fronts
• Assisting joiners, electricians and other trades as directed
• Waste segregation, skips, and general clearance
• Basic tasks: mixing, drilling, saw cutting, fixing protection, and minor patching
• Taking deliveries, checking quantities and storing correctly
• Moving tools and equipment; setting up work zones and barriers
• Supporting snagging and defect rectification
• Following RAMS and site rules; reporting hazards and near misses
• Using small plant and tools safely after instruction
Essential requirements
• Valid CSCS card and full PPE
• Previous site labouring experience
• Physically fit, punctual, and safety focused
• Able to follow instructions and work independently
• Right to work in the UK and two recent references
Hours and pay
• 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays by agreement
• Competitive hourly rate, paid weekly, CIS
• Overtime subject to programme
