Summary
Detailed job description and main responsibilities are outlined in the attached Job Description and person specification. Complete specialist trauma-informed care training alongside Maternal Mental Health professionals to prepare the specialist midwife to deliver the key components of the role. Implement of the standards and practices required for the Fast-Follower MMHS model. To support the development and implementation of the MMHS service expansion across organisational boundaries, supporting localities to work together to promote the best use of resources. Plan a schedule of education and training that is geared towards relevant aspects of service development in relation to trauma-informed maternity care. Prepare lectures and teach trauma-informed maternity care to all Maternity care professionals. To support the sharing of international, national and regional best practice across the initiative, using each phase of the project as a learning experience and ensuring lessons are learnt for the next phase. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of evidence-based trauma-informed care that impact on womens care and experiences. As a representative of NUH and SFH, look for opportunities to promote the contribution of psychological wellbeing, prevention and health inequalities agendas to service developments at local, national and regional levels. Support the Deputy Heads of Midwifery and NHCT PMH leads in service development. Work closely with the maternity team to identify risks, analyse trends, and report clinical implications.
