Summary

We have a great opportunity at the Look Out Discovery Centre for a part-time Receptionist working Wednesdays, 09.15 to 13:45.

The Look Out Discovery Centre is a hands-on science centre dedicated to inspiring children to enjoy science through its almost 100 interactive science exhibits and discovery shows. Our receptionists play a key role in ensuring our visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience.

About you...

As a receptionist you will be enthusiastic and reliable with the ability and willingness to work flexibly.

You will have a strong commitment to customer service, together with the confidence to engage with visitors of all ages and backgrounds, helping to create a welcoming and positive experience for everyone.

Our team of receptionists go above and beyond to ensure all visitors enjoy their experience at The Look Out Discovery Centre.

About the team...

We care about our visitors and want to provide great customer service.

Our reception team play a key role in helping to ensure our customers enjoy their day out to The Look Out Discovery Centre. We enjoy interacting with our varied customer base making their visit fun and enjoyable, as well as clean and safe.

Key responsibilities...

To be responsible for selling and displaying stock, serving and demonstrating goods to our customers, using the till and cashing up.
To ensure a high standard of cleanliness within the gift shop and reception - promoting a quality service to the public.
To promote an excellent image of the centre and its staff at all times.
To work effectively as a member of a team.
To have an understanding of other job roles within the centre and to be able to provide cover if/when required.
