Summary

We are recruiting a Principal Asset Surveyor at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Ty Penallta / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.

Team: Asset Maintenance and Repairs

Caerphilly Homes are seeking a Principal Asset Surveyor within the Asset Management Team to support with the strategic management of the Caerphilly Homes property portfolio, ensuring necessary whole stock assessments are undertaken to support target energy pathways to comply with the Welsh Housing Quality Standard.



The role will require technical management of the surveying service by supervising a team of Asset Surveyors, Assistant Asset Surveyors and external contractors.



The post holder will provide guidance and support to Foremen and Operatives in resolving issues of varying complexity on site by providing suitable solutions which comply with relevant regulations.



You will Work collaboratively with colleagues across Caerphilly Homes to achieve the Council’s transformation journey.



For the role, we ask that you have:

A Relevant Level 4, 5 or 6 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example construction related.
A Level 3 City and Guilds Energy Assessment Course (6361) to be an Accredited Domestic Energy Assessor and produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) or required to achieve following appointment.
Experience of preparing full contract documentation, drawings, schedules, safety plans, programmes and specifications.
A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend site inspections, visit clients and attend meetings.
