Summary

Alfa Leisureplex Group have an exciting opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our People Services team based at our Central Office, Euxton, Chorley.

About the job

We are offering a salary of £28,350 per annum in addition to a number of other benefits outlined below. We are looking for a full-time member of the team, working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days Monday to Friday.

Working closely with the HR Advisor you will be responsible for the administrative tasks required by the department. You will focus on the transactional side of Human Resources, whilst developing your skills in providing advice to managers on HR process and policy. You will also be involved in the recruitment and onboarding of new employee owners, making this a great opportunity to develop and progress your knowledge in all areas of a HR function.

Key responsibilities


Assisting with recruitment and resourcing of new employee owners
Responsibility for new starter and induction paperwork, including issuing contracts of employment
Ensure ongoing compliance of employees in respect of right to work checks
Raising change to employment letters and recording these on the HR system
Maintaining and developing the internal HR system, making sure records are up to date
Generating monthly reports on a variety of people related statistics
Maintaining the HR inbox, responding or escalating queries as required
Note taking and support at HR related meetings
Assisting with the payroll process on a monthly basis
Drafting employee communications and maintaining the employee app
Involvement in wider HR related projects


Essential Key skills and experience:


Solid administration and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent organisation and time management
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication
The ability to draft clear and professional correspondence
Experience of working with confidential information and an understanding of GDPR in relation to HR
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion


Experience of the following would be beneficial, but not essential:


Experience in a similar role or environment
CIPD level 3 or above
