The Role
We’re recruiting for a Strategy Engagement Lead here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Strategy & Operations team.
The Strategy Engagement Lead will lead on engagement of the strategy for Justice Digital and Data, ensuring that the organisation's priorities are clearly articulated and effectively communicated to internal and external audiences. Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition and Engagement, and working as a key member of the Strategy & Operations leadership team, this role will be instrumental in promoting Justice Digital’s mission, driving engagement, and developing strong relationships across the Ministry of Justice and beyond.
This role is essential in ensuring that communications align with the wider organisational goals, promote transparency, and drive engagement within Justice Digital and across the Ministry of Justice. The Strategy Engagement Lead will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, consistent messaging through various channels, including leadership communications, internal events, blogs, and social media.

Key Responsibilities:
Communications Strategy:
Lead the overall communications strategy for Justice Digital, ensuring alignment with the broader organisational goals and the 2025 Digital Strategy.
Develop and implement communication plans that engage internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders, driving awareness and understanding of strategic initiatives.
Maintain oversight of all communications channels, ensuring consistent and clear messaging across leadership communications, events, blogs, and social media.
Leadership Communications:
Manage the production and dissemination of key leadership communications, including Leaders' Week Notes, capturing strategic updates and insights from senior leadership.
Develop a consistent leadership voice for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), working closely with the CDIO and other key leaders to shape and deliver external engagement content.
Support the Head of Comms and senior leaders in preparing for internal and external speaking engagements, ensuring alignment with Justice Digital’s key messages and strategic objectives.
Internal Engagement:
Oversee the fortnightly all-staff stand-up to ensure it engages teams around key priorities and delivers strategic insights effectively.
Lead on the delivery of ad-hoc internal communications, ensuring timely, relevant, and impactful messaging that aligns with organisational priorities.
Collaborate closely with the Engagement Lead to ensure communications and engagement activities are complementary and work together to promote Justice Digital’s values and achievements.
External and Cross-Government Engagement:
Build strong relationships with Ministry of Justice leadership teams and external partners to increase the visibility of Justice Digital’s work and secure support for strategic objectives.
Manage blogs and social media content that promote Justice Digital’s work to both internal and external audiences, strengthening the organisation’s brand and reach.
Collaborate with external conference providers and stakeholders to influence the government communications calendar, ensuring Justice Digital’s message is well-represented.
