Finance Assistant (Maternity Cover – Term Time Only)
Location: Ealing, West London
Salary: £32,369 – £33,335
Contract: Full-time, 35 hours per week, Term Time Only (until 31st August 2026)
Loyal Blue Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated secondary school in Ealing to appoint a dedicated Finance Assistant to join their accounts department on a maternity cover basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their financial career who is keen to gain valuable experience within an educational setting.
About the Role
The Finance Assistant will support the school’s finance function across a range of duties, including:
Managing financial aspects of school funds such as trips, the school shop and café
Supporting student services and parent-funded activities
Handling purchase-to-pay processes, sales ledger and credit control
Providing high-quality support to ensure smooth financial operations across the school
Training support towards an accounting qualification may be available for the right candidate.
About You
The successful candidate will be:
Proactive, approachable, and professional with strong communication skills
Highly organised and able to work calmly under pressure to meet deadlines
Confident in Excel with strong numerical skills
Experienced in financial systems (desirable but not essential)
