Summary

Are you organised, approachable and motivated to support services for young people?

We’re looking for a friendly and detail-focused administrator to join our Children & Young People’s team, based at the Young People’s Centre (YPC) in Brighton.

This role is at the heart of our service, helping to keep the YPC running smoothly as a welcoming wellbeing hub. You’ll provide reception and front-of-house support, coordinate room bookings, and assist with day-to-day enquiries. Alongside this, you’ll play a key part in maintaining accurate data and records that demonstrate our impact and support service development.

We actively welcome applications from people with lived experience and from communities currently underrepresented in our workforce, including Black and racially minoritised candidates, disabled people, and LGBTQIA+ communities.

We’re keen to hear from people with:
• Strong administration and organisational skills, including spreadsheets and databases
• A friendly, professional approach to communication in person, by phone and email
• Experience managing data for reporting, or willingness to learn
• Good time management skills and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusion

Experience in a youth, community, or mental health setting is welcome but not essential.

We’re a flexible, supportive employer. We’re happy to discuss any access needs, working pattern requests, or adjustments that would help you thrive in this role.

Why join us?

Impact Initiatives is a Brighton-based charity with a strong reputation for supporting people of all ages across Sussex. Our Children & Young People’s Services provide safe spaces, advice, and opportunities for young people to connect, build skills, and grow in confidence.

You’ll be joining a values-led team, with regular supervision, a supportive management structure, and opportunities for development, including safeguarding and trauma-informed practice training.

If you have questions about the job, please contact the Head of Service on 01273 887886.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and the successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.

Closing date: 9.00AM on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025
Interviews: To be confirmed
