Job Description

The Street Lighting Partnership is an integrated shared service between Dundee City Council, Perth & Kinross Council, Angus Council, and Tayside Contracts. The partnership provides comprehensive cradle-to-grave service delivery for all street lighting functions in the Tayside Region, including inspection, testing, design, asset management, and works delivery. The partnership operates from three depots located in Dundee, Perth, and Forfar, where integrated teams of professional, technical, and operational staff work in partnership to deliver services.This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated professional to lead the service in further integration, commercialisation, and innovation to enhance efficiency. In addition to the core functions of maintaining the Council’s street lighting assets, the service also delivers design and build commissions for new public and private sector developments, festive lighting for communities, and a range of building and public realm illumination projects.
The Individual
You will have experience of having delivered successful projects and achieving results, managing staff and financial resources, of leading a team. You will have experience of managing financial resources and appreciation of aspects relating to value for money, probity, and accountability along with awareness and experience of risk assessment, health and safety and business continuity responsibilities and issues.You will have a high level of communication skills both written and oral with the ability to lead multi disciplinary meetings/groups. You will be a strategic and corporate thinker, customer focused and adept in programme management.
