Summary

Job Description

Working in a flexible way across day, backshift and weekend working, with some pre negotiated night shift hours when needed (paid at an enhanced rate), you will work 30 hours per week.

Requirements

You will have minimum of SVQ 2 Health and Social Care.

You will have Full Moving and Handling training certificate or the ability to achieve.

You will have relevant professional Moving and Handling Qualification (Trainer) or the ability to achieve.

Responsibilities

You will assist in assessment of service user moving and handling needs while also providing advice and support to managers and staff on manual handling issues which reflects best practice and statutory requirements and support in the co-ordination of training on moving and handling, including risk management and practical techniques to staff.

The Individual

You will have experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team along with planning, delivering and evaluating training experience, relevant past experience of using Moving and Handling Equipment and experience of working with service users who have Moving and Handling equipment in place.

Effective communication skills, both oral and written, knowledge of the risk assessment process, the ability to demonstrate good time management and organisational skills, promote, evaluate and implement good care practice in a diverse range of situations and the ability to consistently take a person-centred approach is essential.

You will have the ability of work a mixture of evenings and weekends in line with service needs and have a current driving licence.
