Summary

Job Description

Working in a hybrid style, based at home and Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week within the Capital Projects and Cost Management Team – Design and Property Division.

Requirements

You will have a HNC in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Responsibilities

You will provide a complete range of quantity surveying services to the Council and to external public agencies, as directed by the Senior Manager - Capital Projects and Cost Management.

You will represent the Senior Management - Capital Projects and Cost Management on construction projects and maintenance services projects and to ensure compliance with professional standards, as appropriate.

The Individual

You will have relevant knowledge and experience, good understanding of contract conditions, cost control and management skills and knowledge of Health and Safety legislation including CDM.

You will have the ability to work with minimum supervision, to achieve project objectives and you will be computer literate with working knowledge of Office 365 as well as good negotiating skills.

You will have the ability to undertake site visits and provide advice and guidance to junior staff.
