Do you have great employee communications experience and always put people at the heart of everything you do?
Are you looking for your next challenge and want to help drive change in a large and diverse organisation?
The City of Edinburgh Council's Change and Transformation team is looking for a Senior Employee Communications Officer with extensive experience in developing and delivering internal, change management and stakeholder communications.
We're entering an exciting phase of change as we work to deliver our Business Plan and are looking for a dynamic, innovative and passionate communications professional to help our people engage and drive this positively.
Part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll work with a variety of colleagues across the Council to support and embed this change, promote awareness and understanding of how we will work differently to better support our citizens and help create excitement and share successes of colleagues' journeys towards this.
You'll be highly experienced in delivering internal communications and employee engagement initiatives as part of complex change programmes. You'll be adept at turning complex documents into content that can be understood by all colleagues and have extensive experience of writing and creating effective internal communications using a variety of channels. You'll be comfortable working independently and, best of all, you'll consistently demonstrate enthusiasm and creativity in developing fresh ideas and new ways of working.
We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.
As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we're bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.
To help achieve this, we're changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.
You can find out more on Our Behaviours web page https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/work-us/behaviours" target="_blank">Our Behaviours - The City of Edinburgh Council
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
Happy to talk flexible working.
