Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated KS2 HLTA to join a dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident leading whole-class learning, supporting small groups, and working closely with teachers to help pupils reach their full potential. Beginning November 2025.

Duties as a KS2 HLTA:

  • Lead whole-class lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

  • Work with small groups and individuals to support learning and progress.

  • Assist teachers with planning, preparing, and delivering engaging activities.

  • Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN or additional needs.

  • Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Support with assessment, record-keeping, and reporting on pupil progress.

Ideal KS2 HLTA:

  • HLTA status (or equivalent qualification/experience).

  • Proven experience supporting learning in KS2.

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills as a KS2 HLTA.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • A flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children’s learning.
