This is an opportunity to work at the heart of the regulator of one of the country’s most vital sectors. Supporting our Chief Executive, you will be at the centre of the action in overseeing England & Wales’ charity sector.

You will be highly motivated and organised to provide high-quality support to the Chief Executive in a fast paced environment. You will facilitate their relationship building, ensuring effective delivery and handling of all correspondence, briefings and documents and ensuring their diary supports the delivery of the Charity Commissions key objectives and performance indicators.

Travel to London will be required as part of this role.

The main things that you would be doing are:

  • Facilitate the day-to-day needs of the Chief Executive by providing high-quality, proactive support, including managing a busy and constantly changing diary, resolving conflicts as they arise and ensuring their time is managed effectively.
  • Ensuring the CEO is well prepared for all meetings and events, including liaising with different areas of the business and senior managers to obtain information and briefings for the CEO in advance of meetings, seminars, presentations and speaking engagements.
  • Liaising directly with internal and external senior stakeholders to deal with enquiries and to co-ordinate appointments and engagements.
  • Monitoring actions and activity and holding others to account on behalf of the CEO for their completion, influencing and negotiating as required to meet deadlines as set.
  • Organise the logistics and hospitality arrangements for the Chief Executive’s meetings including meeting and greeting visitors and arranging refreshments.
