Summary
Provision of evidence-based care for patients taking senior-level responsibility for day-today care of patients, including daily reviews, liaising with other members of the multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication with colleagues, patients and their relatives Join the daily consultant led virtual ward round, participate in MDT meetings with emphasison safe clinical decision making taking into account social, physical, mental and communityfactors that may all impact Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement. To maintain the clinical and quality Standards set out within the service, Trust, regional and national guidelines at all times. To ensure excellent and seamless handover of patient care on a daily basis. To ensure the keeping of accurate, professional and contemporaneous records. Leadership, development and organisation of the service, liaising and communicating withthe Lead Consultant and clinical director Take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate training. Continual professional development activities eg. research, education, time working with another speciality or any other area relevant to individual career interests To provide cover for colleagues for annual and study leave, when required, so far as ispracticable. To use the clinical IT systems effectively. To complete and maintain the Trusts mandatory training.
