Summary
Nursery Practitioner
Practitioner is to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children aged 2-5 years. You may be working in the 2-3 room or the 3-5 room depending on needs of the setting/staffing ratios.
Practitioner is to work as part of a small team, working together to implement the curriculum and the daily routine of the setting.
Practitioner will be a 'key person' and be given a group of key children, to observe and plan for developmentally, activities must be planned and added to the rooms weekly planning for your children. Practitioner will discuss any developmental concerns to setting SENCO.
Practitioner must build good, trusting relationships with parents and carers in order to discuss development and provide parents with daily feedback regarding their child.
Practitioner to read and understand all policies implemented by the setting including health and safety.
To be involved with the preparation and serving of snacks and possibly lunches.
To tidy away and clean daily activities away ready for the next day, cleaning of setting and resources may be necessary especially when there is illness outbreaks.
Personal care such as nappy changing/changing of clothes and assisting washing hands/faces on a regular basis through out the day.
