Summary

The post is based in the Institute of Education in Healthcare and Medical Sciences (IEHMS) in the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSN). Our institute is home to a vibrant team of academic, administrative, and technical staff who support the undergraduate medical and associated postgraduate programmes in addition to ensuring appropriate educational governance and promoting innovation in education and pedagogic research.

Equipped with the latest technology and clinical simulation modalities, the Clinical Skills Centre (CSC) provides a safe environment for staff and students to experience and practice their skills both in the centre itself but also in satellite locations e.g., simulation ward area in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The CSC is also home to our patient partner programme team who train and support around 200 volunteers who attend the facility to help with the clinical skills teaching The Centre hosts a wide variety of postgraduate educational and national events. There is a small, dedicated team that work within the CSC who will support the post holder in their role, including technicians and administrative staff.



The post will require excellent communication skills, teamworking, organisational and interpersonal skills. The successful applicant will develop strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders including the University teaching team, other administrative staff in the Institute, the patient partner team and with colleagues in NHS Grampian. This is a full-time job (36.5hrs per week) with hours spread across Monday- Friday.



Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 4 scale, £26,942 - £30,805 per annum and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience..
