Summary

Job Description

To provide a secretarial, clerical and data input service for the Community Safety Service.

Requirements

Provide clerical support services.

Provide a data entry and typing service.

Organise incoming and outgoing mail.

Provide a reception service.

Maintain a comprehensive filing system.

Provide a secretarial support service.

The Individual

Previous experience in a busy office environment in a clerical/administrative role using relevant technology e.g. photocopier, E-mail, Intra/Internet.

Experience using Microsoft Office package.

4 SQA Standard Grades or equivalent at level 3 or above including English and Secretarial Studies (or equivalent)*.

Ability to use initiative when required.

Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.

Strong customer care skills and focus.

Self-confidence.

Self motivated.

Demonstrate ability in relation to accuracy and attention to detail.

Effective organisational skills including time management.

Ability to prioritise workload.

Ability to relate well with all levels of staff.

Willingness to accept direction/delegation.

Understanding of importance of effective team working.

Appreciation, acceptance of and a commitment to the importance of confidentiality.

Ability to work in an open plan office.

Flexibility to meet the needs and demands of the service.

Ability to work in different offices dependent upon service requirements.

Closing Date: 19 September 2025

Starting Salary: £25,9954.15 or £13.79 per hour.

36.25 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Interviews to be held after 22 September 2025.

This role is suitable for job sharing.
