What you need to know

Hours: 35 hours per week. Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00.

Contract type: Fixed Term (up to 1st August 2026) in Museums Admin Hub, GMRC.

Pay details: The listed salary is for a full-time role. If you’re applying for a part-time or bank job, we will calculate your pay on a pro-rata basis. The hourly rate is £13.89 per hour.

Location: GMRC, 200 Woodhead Rd, Glasgow, with excellent public transport links or free parking nearby.

What you’ll do

As a Clerical Assistant, you’ll be a part of an established Admin team, reporting to the Admin Assistant/Admin Officer. You’ll play an essential role in providing a wide range of essential admin support to the Service Operation teams that supports the running of the Service Areas as well as ensuring processes are efficient and effective. Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. This could be:

  • Creating cultural experiences
  • Or working behind the scenes to make it all happen

We’re looking for someone with the ability to:

  • Plan and organise designated work to be completed within the relevant timeframe.
  • Carry out a wide range of administrative services to support the Admin Officer, Service Areas, Colleagues and Business Partners.
  • Processing financial transactions, accurately and timeously utilising the Company’s

computerised systems.

  • Respond to enquiries by email or phone from internal customers, colleagues and ALEOS, clarifying issues and providing an informed response.
  • Liaising with internal and external customers and partners establishing effective working relationships.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changeable working environments.
  • Ensure accurate and complete records and information for effective processing of bookings,

events, and applications.

  • Collate, update, maintain and provide management information as required.
  • Support colleagues in the purchasing of goods and services, and processing of invoices.
