Summary
We are currently recruiting for a full time HGV class 1 shunter for our busy site in Redditch. Are you a passionate and experienced class 1 shunter, looking for exciting opportunities in the world of music. Moving trailers between two sites for loading and unloading.
Hours of work ; 45 per week. Tuesday to Friday 8am to 6pm, every other Saturday and Sunday 8am to 6pm
£36,000 salary per year with overtime paid at time and a half.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring secure coupling and uncoupling according to DVSA standard
* Practicing safe parking and applying appropriate trailer braking systems
* Organise parking and help with drivers hours when required.
* Ensure vehicles are parked correctly, clean and ready for use
* Report any drivers issues, such as but not exhausted cleaning conditions etc.
* Flexibility with both time and tasks to keep the yard/ warehouse functioning effectively
* Move and reallocate units when requested
* Transfer trailers to and from the other sites when requested.
* General housekeeping around the trailer parks
* Help identify load pick and pack client storage needs.
**Skills and Knowledge:**
* Previous experience in a similar roll
* Valid Counterbalance FLT license
* Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
* Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members
* Good attention to detail
* Happy to undertake a variety of tasks as they arise
* A Certificate of professional competence (CPC) is required.
