Summary
Gas & Air Source Heat Pump Installer
Location: Reading
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of on-site works including installations and servicing of heat pumps, hot water cylinders, and thermal storage systems
- Carry out central heating system installations and repairs in domestic and commercial settings
- Provide technical supervision and support to team members on-site
- Diagnose and repair faults across a range of heating systems
- Install, upgrade, and maintain heating, plumbing, sanitation, and HVAC systems
- Ensure compliance with PAS 2030, MCS, and Gas Safe regulations
- Complete work records via PDA or digital systems
- Participate in out-of-hours callouts and overtime where required
- Adhere to all health & safety procedures, including hazard reporting
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism on every job
What You'll Need:
- Experience in the local authority or social housing sector
- Strong knowledge of heating and domestic appliance installations
- Proven experience with PAS 2030-compliant installs
- Background in fault finding and maintenance of commercial/domestic systems
- Familiarity with BMS, system controls, and press-fit pipework
- Strong commitment to health & safety standards
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Essential Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Domestic Plumbing (or City & Guilds equivalent)
- Level 3 Award in the Installation & Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems (C&G, BPEC, or LCL Awards)
- G3 Unvented Hot Water Cylinder Certification
- Water Regulations Certificate
- Full, clean UK Driving Licence
