I am seeking a highly motivated Transport Planner to support my client's expanding operations based in Liverpool.
My client is at the forefront of container transport, import/export traffic, and HGV logistics. With a reputation built on reliability, innovation, and scale, we deliver seamless solutions across the UK's busiest ports and inland terminals.
Your new role
As a Transport Planner, you'll be responsible for the efficient planning and coordination of HGV movements across the North West. You'll work closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining cost-effective operations.
Some of your duties will include but not limited to
Plan and schedule HGV vehicle movements across the North WestManage container transport logistics for import and export trafficOptimise routes and resources to maximise efficiency and reduce costsLiaise with drivers and customers to ensure smooth operationsMonitor transport costs and contribute to budget controlMaintain compliance with transport regulations and company standards
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in vehicle planning and HGV logisticsStrong understanding of transport costs and operational efficiencyKnowledge of container transport and intermodal logisticsExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, office-based environment
