This full time role is based in Port Talbot offering onsite parking

About the Role:

As a key member of our Quality team, you will play a vital role in guaranteeing that every product the company supply is of the highest quality, meeting both specifications and company standards. You will use advanced technology and inspection techniques, including programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), alongside hands-on inspection skills, to deliver outstanding results.

What You'll Do:

  • Take ownership of incoming product quality, ensuring all materials supplied are fit for purpose and meet exacting standards.

  • Be the first point of contact for supplier quality issues, influencing positive change and strong partnerships.

  • Write and optimise CMM programs to boost the speed and accuracy of inspections.

  • Coordinate and prioritise inspection activities to support seamless production flow.

  • Manage and drive continuous improvements through the NCR system, ensuring all quality concerns are promptly addressed.

  • Perform final, critical inspections before products reach the customer, assuring excellence.

  • Work closely with suppliers, engineers, and production teams to resolve issues quickly and keep supply chains flowing smoothly.

  • Maintain and oversee calibration systems to guarantee precision in all measuring equipment.

  • Uphold a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Skilled operator and programmer of CMM machines with a minimum of 5 years' manufacturing experience.

  • Strong understanding of inspection techniques and quality standards

  • A keen eye for detail, capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and customer specifications.

  • A proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Computer literate with confidence using Windows-based software.
