Summary

Newstaff Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client based in St.Albans for an HGV 2 Driver to join their team.

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join our delivery team in St Albans. You’ll be responsible for carrying out multi-drop deliveries to local and regional locations, ensuring goods are delivered safely, on time, and with excellent customer service.

This role is ideal for drivers who enjoy being out on the road, are confident handling deliveries, and take pride in representing a professional company.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure the lorry is roadworthy.

  
  

• Complete deliveries to customers around St Albans and surrounding areas.

  
  

• Load/unload goods safely (some heavy lifting may be required).

  
  

• Ensure paperwork and delivery notes are completed accurately.

  
  

• Follow all road safety and company procedures at all times.

  
  Requirements

  • A valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence.

    
    

  • Current CPC & Digital Tachograph card.

    
    

  • Previous multi-drop or delivery experience preferred.

    
    

  • Good knowledge of the local area (St Albans / Hertfordshire).

    
    

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and good communication skills.
