Summary

Location: Newbury Hours: 40 per week | Salary: £45k plus

Are you a qualified Electrician with a passion for sustainability and innovation? Join our client's growing team and help deliver cutting-edge renewable energy solutions that support a cleaner, smarter future.

Your Role:

You'll be working on domestic and commercial solar PV installations, contributing to energy-efficient solutions across the UK. Responsibilities include:

  • Installing, testing, and commissioning solar PV systems

  • Interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings

  • Working confidently with DC/AC circuits, inverters, isolators, and fault diagnostics

  • Using remote monitoring systems, data loggers, and apps

  • Ensuring compliance with H&S protocols, RAMS, UK building regulations, and DNO requirements

  • Reporting faults and ensuring safe operation of equipment

  • Willingness to travel regionally or nationally, with flexibility for overtime/weekend work

What We're Looking For:
  • Recognised electrical apprenticeship and/or full electrical qualifications (Essential)

  • 18th Edition I.EE certification

  • ECS Gold Card (Essential)

  • Knowledge of MCS Accreditation, PAS 2030, and G98/G99 grid connection regulations

  • Experience in solar PV or renewables (training available if needed)

  • Relevant solar PV qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2399, LCL Awards Level 3, BPEC - desirable)

  • Full UK driving licence (under 7 points)

  • Own full set of tools

  • A genuine passion for sustainability and making a difference
