Then we would like to invite you to join our dynamic team because an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Data Manager to join the Research Delivery Service at Noclor Joint Research Office, hosted by Central and North West London NHS Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for an assistant psychologist, HCA, or graduate with experience working in a mental health setting to join our team working on a diverse portfolio of research studies across North West London. Our team works across London and the South East, and the successful candidates will promote community health research across the entire locality.
Supported by the North West London Clinical Research Network (CRN): this is a chance to gain experience and knowledge of clinical research in the area of mental health.
Main responsibilities will be supporting with data collection and data entry to research studies in Adult Mood & psychosis, Dementia and Older Adults, and CAMHS; monitoring and maintenance of electronic data capture systems (EDC) and site files; managing participants payments; providing administrative support and updating spreadsheets and local databases of clinical trial activity.
There will also be opportunities to be involved in additional clinical tasks, such as screening medical records to identify potential participants, calling service users to invite them to take part in research, triaging queries relating to research from clinicians, and completing virtual psychometric assessments with participants.
Other responsibilities will include ordering research supplies and managing room bookings. The post holder will be expected to develop skills and knowledge relating to the conduct of clinical trials principally for the Mental Health and Dementia trials. The post holder will work within the guidelines of ICH GCP at all times.
The role would suit somebody who has limited research experience, and is looking to develop their research knowledge. Experience of working in mental health services is desirable, but research experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided.

Duties will be allocated to the post-holder according to qualifications and experience. They are likely to involve some or all of the following:
• Identification and approach of potential participants into NIHR Portfolio Adopted studies across the Trust.
• To complete research activities in line with Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
• To attend multidisciplinary team meetings alongside CRAs/CRPs to aid identification of appropriate Trusts/wards etc within the CRN for recruitment of participants to CRN North West London Division 4 studies
• To co-ordinate treatment, assessment and follow-up as necessary in accordance with research protocol
• To assist the Research Delivery Manager to monitor patient recruitment
• To identify areas of low patient recruitment and liaise with the Research Delivery Manager and to identify mechanism for improving
• To work at all times according to Good Clinical Practice, Research Governance and Trust guidelines
• To provide support to research teams to obtain approvals from Trust Research Governance and Local Ethics Committees
• To ensure that any data collection is conducted according to specific research protocols and adheres to the Data Protection Act 1998 and according to ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines
• To facilitate the recording of patient recruitment on CRN Data Entry System
• To provide information / reports on recruitment when requested by the Division Manager to provide support to research teams for assessments and follow-up of study participants.
