Job description:
Link Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact on the education and wellbeing of young people with additional needs.
The Role:
Provide classroom and 1:1 support to students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and social, emotional, and learning needs.
Assist teachers in delivering adapted lessons and resources.
Support pupils’ social and emotional development, promoting independence and confidence.
Work closely with the SENCO and wider staff team to implement support plans.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based experience desirable but not essential).
A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or SEN training) are advantageous but not required.
