Summary
I am working with a logistics and distribution company based on the outskirts of Leeds, who are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join their team ASAP!
Responsibilities will include:
You will be responsible for maintaining their mixed fleet of rigid and articulated HGV vehicles and trailers to the highest standards in line with DVSA requirements.
Vehicle & trailer inspections
MOT Preparation to DVSA standards
Brake testing at every inspection
fault finding and repairs
Use of diagnostic equipment
Skills, Knowledge and experience:
Qualification in city & guilds HGV part 1,2 & 3 or NVQ level e or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years experience as an HGV mechanic (post qualification)
Large goods vehicle experience ESSENTIAL
Flexible approach to work
Health & Safety awareness
Excellent time keeping
HGV license - Class 1
Desirable:
IRTEC Registered for both traction & trailers
This is a full time permanent position, paying an annual salary up to £60,000 per annum depending upon experience.
Hours of work are Monday - Friday - 7am - 4pm, with an element of flexibility
