We are now seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the quality of care delivered in the community, provide hands-on support and guidance to care staff, and act as a vital link between the office team, frontline carers, and service users. By maintaining compliance, promoting best practice, and supporting both staff and clients, you will help uphold our reputation for excellence in care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Staff Supervision & Support
• Provide field-based support, including shadowing, mentoring, and spot checks.
• Assist with staff inductions, training, and refresher sessions (manual handling, medication administration, hoist use).
• Monitor staff performance through supervisions, appraisals, and competency assessments.
• Support staff well-being, offering guidance and being a point of contact for concerns.
2. Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Review and update client care plans to reflect current needs.
• Conduct unannounced spot checks and audits to ensure compliance with care standards.
• Monitor care documentation (care notes, medication charts) for accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with client-specific risk assessments.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, CQC regulations, and national care standards.
• Oversee infection prevention and control practices, including correct PPE use and waste disposal compliance.
3. Client & Family Liaison
• Participate in client assessments and care planning.
• Carry out regular service reviews with clients and families.
• Investigate and respond to complaints professionally, escalating where necessary.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with clients and families.
4. Administration & Communication
• Document and report on supervision, spot checks, and client visits.
• Maintain clear communication with the office team, managers, and coordinators.
• Participate in the on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support when required.
What We’re Looking For
• Previous or current experience in a domiciliary care setting, ideally in a supervisory role.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage a busy workload.
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and professional approach to care.
