Summary
Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at The Lyndhurst Surgery. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. The Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the practice, including clinical and non-clinical spaces, are cleaned to a high standard in line with infection prevention and control guidelines. Key Duties and Responsibilities Cleaning consultation rooms, waiting areas, offices, and staff facilities. Ensuring toilets and patient areas are kept clean, hygienic, and well stocked. Following infection prevention and control procedures at all times. Safe disposal of waste, including clinical waste when appropriate. Using cleaning products and equipment safely, in line with Health & Safety guidance. Reporting any maintenance or cleaning issues to the Practice Manager. Working independently to complete tasks within the allocated hours. Person Specification Essential: Reliable and punctual. Good attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Awareness of infection control and hygiene standards. Desirable: Previous experience in a cleaning role, ideally in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning products and materials. Additional Information Hours of work: 6 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 08:00 10:00). The post holder will be expected to maintain confidentiality at all times.
