As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our events run smoothly, from food preparation to serving guests.
Duties
Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for catering events, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
Set up and break down catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, and serving stations.
Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional manner, providing excellent customer service throughout the event.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas before, during, and after events.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food items and address any dietary needs or requests from guests.
Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of guests.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and reporting any shortages or needs to management.
Skills
Fine dining experience is preferred but not required.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
Experience in serving food in a banquet or catering setting is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices.
Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is beneficial.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is an asset.
Barista experience is a plus for roles involving beverage service.
