Cardiff Council is seeking a skilled Employment Solicitor to join its Litigation Team for a three-month agency assignment. This is a pivotal role offering the chance to work on high-impact employment law matters within a dynamic public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert legal advice on employment law, policy, and governance
Conduct litigation on behalf of the Council, including Employment Tribunal cases
Represent the Council as an advocate in court and tribunal hearings
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and strategic risk management
Contribute to the development of employment-related policies and procedures
✅ Essential Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor with demonstrable experience in employment law
Proven track record of litigation and advocacy in employment-related matters
Strong understanding of public sector governance and legal frameworks
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and effectively
