We are a small, happy, independent motorhome / campervan workshop, started in 2012 we help over 1,000 customers per year.
This role will also suit a Mobile Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter who wishes to transfer to a warm, dry, clean, well lit workshop with free tea & coffee. If transferring in from another sector, we will support your transition to the leisure vehicle sector.

Motorhomes & Campervans are often based on LCV platforms, examples include:
Fiat Ducato
Mercedes Sprinter
Ford Transit
Peugeot Boxer

Typical Jobs
The role will include a wide variety of duties including:
Mechanical service and repair working to a high standard.
Pre MOT, Post MOT repairs.
Cambelt replacement.
Mechanical diagnosis, repairs, installation.
Fault diagnosis and repair to systems and equipment as needed.
Accessory installation, Levelling, solar panels, bike racks, awnings, reverse cameras and TV aerials, motorhome towbars, lithium batteries.
Ideally you can:
Estimate time and parts required to complete repairs.
Follow instructions and use initiative to overcome complications.
Use technology to record and report service items, faults, repairs to ensure compliance and share info with customers.
Promote and maintain good relations with customers, maintaining standards and the good image of the company.
Provide telephone & face-to-face technical support to customers when required.
Attend workshops and training as and when required.

Presentable, personable and able to represent the company when speaking to customers.

You understand and confirm that a workshop role is based on selling time.
Have the ability to adopt a flexible approach to your work.
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to keep calm and collected in challenging situations.
Stable under pressure - react well to change and stay positive despite setbacks.
Able to work & communicate as part of a team.
Able to adapt to the company's needs in the way we deliver our service.
Reliable and take pride in the quality of your work.
You must hold a full, current, "clean" UK Driving license.
You must have your own hand tools.
Languages - must be fluent in English and be able to write competently.
IT - You must be able to use company systems / mobile / PC to capture data, report and communicate within the team, to suppliers and customers.
Excellent verbal communication skills - have the ability to convey information verbally to fellow team members and customers.
Experience & Qualifications
Preferably 3 years’ experience on the tools post qualification.
In the first instance we are looking for a fully skilled technician (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3), who can "hit the ground running".
However if you only have 80% of the above, and you are a friendly, kind, confident and capable individual, who can deal with problems under pressure and remain professional at all times, we are open to applications from alternative sectors, who have the attitude and energy to transfer, and are multi skilled with experience in the motor trade. In these cases training will be provided as necessary, however a lower rate of pay will be applicable until fully skilled.
Hours of work could be full-time or part-time, however flexibility will be required around busier times of the year.
Package
The salary is negotiable depending on experience. We will offer an extremely competitive salary for the right candidate including a fair/rewarding workshop bonus scheme. Basic will depend on your qualifications, experience and skill level.
This role has a current OTE (opportunity to earn) £45,000/Yr (pro-rata 5 days/week).
Based on basic hourly rate and bonus.
Benefits: 28 days holiday (inc. Bank Holidays) pro-rata, Govt. Pension, Free branded uniform, free parking.
