Summary
Assess, implement and review Speech and Language Therapy treatment and discharge in a timely manner.Ensure that children/carers are involved in the planning and prioritisation of their care plans and facilitate joint decisions wherever possible.Work with clients on an individual and group basis.Work independently, as a member of a Speech and Language Therapy Team and as a member of a wider multi-disciplinary team.Demonstrate the ability to reflect on auditory, visual and kinaesthetic aspects of clients communication and to identify appropriate strategies to facilitate and enhance communicative effectivenessEngage in collaborative working practices with the children and young people, their parents / carers, educational, social care and health professionals.Adapt practice to meet individual circumstances, including due regard for cultural and linguistic differences.Negotiate with carers, clients and others around individual case management including the management of the communication environment.
