Summary
Work collaboratively within the team and with other agencies. Be responsible for a manageable caseload. Be responsible for own clinical practice. Work within the skills and competencies expected of the role. Provide clinical information to support families. Provide clinical support and knowledge to support staff. Plan and provide personalised strategies and behaviour management. Plan and provide parent training support and intervention Identify the need for and initiate referrals to internal/external partners. Develop patient centred outcomes with child, young person, families, carers and colleagues. Contribute to health needs assessment as part of Special Educational Needs and Disability. Recognise incidents and risks and report on them as appropriate. Communicate effectively with children and young people and their families and carers recognising the need for alternative methods of communication to overcome different levels of understanding, cultural background and preferred ways of communicating. Participate in individual clinical supervision. Participate in mentorship and clinical supervision with the team. Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records of care, consistent with policies and procedures. Participate in audit as required by the organisation. Undertake the relevant training to develop knowledge and skills in line with Professional Development Review. Undertake all relevant mandatory training. Develop and maintain own knowledge and skills through the use of competency frameworks and continuous professional development and personal development process.
