Summary
We are currently seeking a Workshop Engineer to join our expanding team at our main facility in Runcorn, Cheshire. You will be working for a highly reputable business specialising in the repair, refurbishment and maintenance of machinery and technology used within the holiday park arcade and amusement sector.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Preform mechanical and electronic repairs on refurbishment machines.
- Carry out maintenance and testing of PC-based systems, power suppy units and circuit boards.
- Diagnose faults in PC motherboards, circuit boards and general arcade machine components.
- Communicate effectively with line managers regarding faults or improvement opportunities.
- Adhere to health & safety policies and maintain a safe working environment.
- Prioritise and manage workload in line with production deadlines.
- Support the delivery or production schedules by working efficiently and independently.
Skills Required:
- Previous hands-on experience in PC and electronic repairs is essential.
- Soldering skills and experience with open circuit board repairs.
- Familiarity with diagnosing and repairing power supply units.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Flexible and proactive attitude to support team targets.
- Ideally holds an electronics-based qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC)
Based at Runcorn Depot.
Workshop environment - individual and team-based tasks.
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
