Child Disability Support Worker
A fantastic opportunity for a warm and bubbly professional with experience supporting individuals with complex needs to step into a long term, classroom based role. The position runs term time only with no weekend or holiday commitments, making it perfect for those seeking a truly family friendly working pattern.
The Role
Working weekdays only (8.30 am to 3.30 pm), you will support children with complex needs in a structured classroom environment. You'll use your skills in positive behaviour support and joint attention strategiesto help pupils access learning with confidence, dignity and joy.
The Ideal Person:
You bring experience working with adults or children with complex needs and a bright, bubbly personality that lights up a room. You hold a relevant qualification in care, health and social care. Experience or training in Team Teach is desirable, helping you to respond safely and constructively during behavioural challenges. Your compassionate nature, adaptability and enthusiasm make you both a role model and a trusted supporter.

Hours
Term time only, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 3.30 pm. Open to both Full time and Part time applicants.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
