Summary

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and organised team player to join our Fares and Ticketing team to support with the Council’s electronic ticket machine (ETM) back office, provide driver training and assist with various initiatives. Assist with vetting applications for School Transport Driver Badges. You will be required to provide cover to the THInC (Transport to Health Care Information Centre) and A2B phonelines during busy spells or period of absence, so developing a good rapport with customers on all levels is essential.

Ideally you’ll have some experience or knowledge of public transport and programming ticket machines but if not full training will be given so you will need to be up to the challenge of learning something new. You will have a good geographical knowledge of the Aberdeenshire area and experience in using Microsoft packages to a proficient standard, some experience of working in an office would be advantageous.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
