Relief SVQ Assessor, Carpentry and Joinery

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis

£18.81 per hour (including Distant Island Allowance)

UHI Orkney is seeking applications from suitably qualified and knowledgeable persons to add to the supply list.

Duties will include visiting Carpentry and Joinery apprentices in their workplaces to carry out assessments of work-based learning.

Considerable experience of working in and a knowledge of good practice in Carpentry and Joinery and modern working practices is required.

Applicants must be time-served joiners, and must hold an HNC/SVQ3 or equivalent level qualification in the relevant curriculum area. Applicants must also hold an Assessor Award A1, or equivalent, or be willing to work towards this.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

This post is subject to a Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
