Summary
Birchgrove Comprehensive School currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the Inclusion team as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners with ASD/ALN.
Job overview
Under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, you will be required to support and implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups in the ASD/STF Unit, supporting pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs.
Job requirements
Very good numeracy and literacy skills
Teaching Assistant qualification (NVQ 3) or experience
Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
