The Aurora Group
We’re currently looking for a Finance Business Partner. Whilst the role is home based, there is a requirement to travel occasionally to Twigworth, Gloucestershire where our Central Office provides financial support, leadership and governance to the group as well as a number of our sites across the country.
The Role:
You will be responsible for reporting the financial position of a number of sites within the group, providing a finance business partnering service to the leadership teams at each site. A key member of the Finance Business Partnering team, working closely the wider finance team to ensure results are accurately reported
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure the Senior Leadership on sites are kept fully abreast of financial matters relating to their site.
Provide a critical friend to sites to ensure quality of education and sound financial growth
Help and guide the sites’ leadership teams to maintain good budgetary control.
Ensure site’s leadership teams are fully versed in their financials and are enabled to make appropriate decisions as a result.
Maintain an accurate forecasting model for rolling 12 month period for each site, and 5 year budgets.
Support the Head of Financial Business Partnering with future growth projections and other projects
Please note that duties will vary and you will be expected to contribute to the overall aims of the team.
Experience: Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate: Qualified/Part qualified accountant with experience of finance business partnering. A proven and demonstrable record of experience in management accounts and an awareness of how this integrates into the statutory accounts. Strong IT skills with an advanced knowledge of Excel. Strong accuracy skills with high attention to detail, whilst having the ability to see the bigger picture. Excellent team player with strong communications skills, with an ability to clearly explain financial concepts to non-financial managers. Credibility and confidence to work with senior managers across the organisation. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and ability to prioritise a changing workload and use initiative. Assertive and able to take ownership for tasks. A proactive and energetic approach to problem solving. Able to challenge and not accept the status quo. Whilst the role is predominantly home based there will be a need to work from our office in Twigworth when required as well the occasional visits to our services.
