Summary
Head Science Technician
Start date: As soon as possible, 5 days per week (Mon-Fri) 37 hours per week (term time only 1 x inset day in Sept). Point 20-23 £28,006.55 - £29,584.86 Actual salary (FTE £32,597 -£34,434).
We are looking to appoint a Head Science Technician to work in our outstanding science department. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, understanding of science practical work and related Health and Safety requirements. Previous experience of preparing A-level practical resources and science specific administrative duties would be an advantage as would experience of leading a team. Ofsted assessed Balcarras in 2005, 2009, 2014 and 2025 as “Outstanding” in every category. Staff members at Balcarras School receive priority for admissions for their children for Year 7 entry.
