Summary
Class 2 Drivers Wanted - Temp to Perm - Reading
The Best Connection Reading are looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers to join a leading global transport company based in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure long-term ongoing work with excellent pay rates and the potential to go permanent.
Pay Rates:
- Monday to Friday: £16.00 per hour
- Overtime (after 8 hrs): £23.25 per hour
- Saturday: £23.25 per hour
- Sunday: £31.00 per hour
Role Details:
- Delivering home furniture to customer addresses
- Working as a two-person team (with a driver's mate)
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle (occasional 7.5T work may apply)
- Typical shifts: 07:00 - 16:00 (may vary, up to 11:00 starts)
- Weekend work required on a rota basis
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing up to 15 deliveries per day
- Safely handling heavy goods (handball included)
- Working closely with your driver's mate to ensure smooth and professional deliveries
- Providing excellent customer service at every drop
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence (max 6 points)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Strong work ethic and reliable timekeeping
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
