• You will be helping service userswho'vebeenimpactedby physical health symptomspredominantly inthe form of pain and fatigue.These individualsexperiencechallenges inhow they engage with valued activities,the impact of pain on their relationships and the difficulties of living with uncertainty.
• You'llbeinvested inreally getting to knowwhat’simportant toclientsand helping them achieve goalsalongside supporting and working others within the multi-disciplinary team.
• You will beinvolved inthe provision of assessment, formulation & therapeutic intervention to clients referred to the service in line with the most recent evidence and service model.
• You willwork in collaboration with otherspecialists in Chronic Pain and Spinal conditionsincluding Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Medicsto deliver specialistinterventions to people withongoing pain. This will include working individually and in groups. In addition, you will support the growing Long Covid service.
• You will provide supervision and training to junior staff.
• You’llbe basedat Finchampstead and deliver care ina number ofpremises acrossthe West ofBerkshire asrequired.

The “must haves” for this role:
• Post graduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent for those who trained prior to 1996 or for those who completed their training overseas) which provides eligibility for Chartered Membership of British Psychological Society (BPS)
• Registered and accredited with Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist
• Experience of working across the lifespan with Long Term Conditions.
