Summary

Timber Engineering Contracts Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Timber Engineering Contracts Manager to join our team at Welshpool.

As our Timber Engineering Contracts Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the coordination, management, and delivery of timber frame construction projects. This includes ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role involves managing multiple live projects, contributing to pre-construction planning, and resolving post-completion issues.

Your responsibilities will include:


Lead the planning and execution of timber frame construction projects.

Develop and manage construction programmes and methodologies.



Participate in tendering processes and contract negotiations.



Oversee site setup, including scaffold, slab, and crane lift plans.



Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.

Attend site and design meetings, contributing to buildability and safety discussions.



Provide leadership to site teams including surveyors, planners, and supervisors.


What you will need:


Background in joinery or timber frame erection.
Ability to read and interpret working drawings.
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing multiple sites and subcontractors.
CSCS card and relevant health & safety qualifications (SMSTS preferred).
