Summary

Job title: Data Intern

Responsible to: Data Quality & Performance Manager


Principle Accountabilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of regular performance reports by extracting, cleaning, and analysing data from business systems.
2. Support ad hoc analysis projects, helping to identify trends and insights that inform decision-making.
3. Work with various data sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
4. Assist in maintaining and improving data quality, flagging inconsistencies or gaps in datasets.
5. Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to understand their data needs and provide appropriate support.
6. Help develop and update dashboards, visualisations, and other business intelligence tools.
7. Document processes and methodologies to support knowledge sharing and ensure repeatability of analyses.
8. Conduct basic statistical analysis to support reporting and performance monitoring.
9. Support the implementation of data governance best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
10. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas on improving data reporting and insights generation.

3. Take responsibility for self-development, attending training, supervision, appraisals, team meetings and staff conferences as required.
