Summary

We are looking for an efficient, hardworking and enthusiastic Assistant Legal Officer to join the Property and Commercial Team within Legal Services. The successful candidate will work within the Housing sections of our team, primarily dealing with Right to Buy applications but will assist with other matters as required.
Candidates must have previous experience of legal work with a preference for that experience to have been within a local authority setting.
You will required to carry out a range of specialised legal duties including accurately preparing, updating and maintaining Right to Buy documentation and lists of relevant properties and giving procedural legal advice. The post will involve a significant amount of liaison with clients and third party solicitors.
You should be confident in dealing with clients, partners, external professionals and also members of the public. You must be highly organised and have excellent administrative, IT and communication skills.
You must be able to demonstrate that you are able to deal effectively with a large workload which is subject to tight deadlines.
